What is regular expression replacement?

Regex (Regular Expression) is a powerful text pattern matching tool. When regex mode is enabled, you can enter regex patterns in the find field, such as \\d+ to match all numbers, [a-z]+ to match all lowercase letters, etc. You can use $1, $2 etc. in the replace field to reference capture groups.

What is the difference between Replace All and Replace First?

Replace All replaces every match in the text. Unchecking "Replace All" means each rule only replaces the first match it finds. If you have multiple rules, each rule will only replace its first match.

What is the execution order of replacement rules?

Replacement rules are executed sequentially from top to bottom. After each rule finishes processing, the next rule operates on the result of the previous one. Therefore, the order of rules may affect the final result; it's recommended to arrange them carefully.

How do Undo and Redo work?

Every time you execute a replacement, the system automatically saves the operation history. You can click "Undo" to go back to the previous step, or "Redo" to move forward. If you execute a new replacement after undoing, the forward history will be cleared.
